“I will keep playing, I will keep practicing, I will never give up!” - Yunes.
Meet Yunes, a 15 year-old boy from war-torn Yemen, whose dream is to be a professional footballer. Last year, Yunes successfully tried out for the local league, but could not officially join because he does not have a Hong Kong Identity card. This, however, hasn’t killed his sporting spirit. During school days, Yunes plays for his school team. After school, he teaches English to new arrivals from mostly other war-torn Arabic-speaking countries through an initiative he co-founded called Learning Together. He also co-manages Learning Together’s football team and hopes that through his story, he will inspire those around him.
